Oxbridge Summers at Oxford is hosted at the University of Oxford and students are housed in university accommodation in order to fully appreciate the experience.
The city of Oxford is home to the world renowned University of Oxford, a leading centre of excellence in teaching and research, and the oldest university in the English speaking world, with landmark discoveries, historical events and notable figures associated with it.
Oxbridge Summers is hosted at the University of Oxford, and as such, allows each student to experience life as an independent university scholar, enjoy the opportunity to engage with other students from diverse backgrounds, and occupy his/her time in the pursuit of learning.
The programme is interspersed with a delightful range of opportunities for enjoying all that the University of Oxford has to offer (as well as all the the wonderful town of Oxford has on offer). Students benefit from guest lectures, group activities and study tours in the beautiful historical city of Oxford and beyond.
During the programme, we schedule several activities and visits for our students to engage them in the culture of their surroundings. In Oxford, students will enjoy visits to the famous museums, such as the Ashmolean or Pitt Rivers, and the Bodleian Library!
Students are also taken on a tour of the historical colleges of Oxford, learning about the many discoveries and achievements of its scholars, and also see its scenic beauty by engaging in a punting tour on the River Isis and the Cherwell.
We offer several opportunities to enjoy the nearby sights of Oxford as well. The historical town of Woodstock and Blenheim Palace, largest private Palace in England and birthplace of Winston Churchill, is a delight to behold (and much enjoyed by students)!
